Membership Rules and Guidelines

Respect & Inclusivity

All members must treat each other with respect, kindness, and dignity. Discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any kind, including on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, or disability, is strictly prohibited.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Members’ privacy is paramount. Discussions, identities, and personal information shared within the club must remain confidential. No photographs, videos, or audio recordings may be taken without explicit consent from all parties involved.

The physical address of The Community Centre should NEVER be shared on social media or in any other public forum; geo-tagging of the location is strictly prohibited.

Guest Policy

Members may bring guests to club events, but guests must adhere to the same rules and code of conduct as members. Members are responsible for teaching their guests the code of conduct and the behavior of their guests.

Event Conduct
Club events are meant to foster community, inclusivity, and support. Disruptive behavior, including excessive intoxication, aggression, or any form of anti-social behavior will not be tolerated.

Non-Solicitation
The club is a social and supportive space, not a business platform. Members are prohibited from soliciting other members for business or personal financial gain, unless it is part of an approved club event or activity.

Conflict Resolution

Any conflicts between members should be handled respectfully. If needed, the club has a conflict resolution process, where members can bring issues to a neutral mediator or the club’s leadership team for resolution.

No Hate Speech

Hate speech, whether directed at someone within or outside the LGBTQ+ community, is strictly forbidden. This includes slurs, derogatory language, or any form of oppressive rhetoric.

Use of Facilities

Club facilities, whether virtual or physical, should be used responsibly. Members must clean up after themselves and respect shared spaces. Any damage caused by members must be reported and may incur a fee.

Termination of Membership

Membership may be revoked for violation of the club's rules or code of conduct. Termination decisions will be made by the leadership team after an investigation, and the member will be informed of the decision in writing.

Supportive Environment

Members are encouraged to support each other and create a positive, uplifting community. Constructive feedback, help, and encouragement should be the foundation of interactions.

Alcohol & Drug Policy

Members are expected to drink responsibly. The Community Centre reserves the right to not sell alcoholic beverages to members based on their perceived level of intoxication.

Age Requirement

Membership is restricted to individuals aged 18 and older.

Amendment of Rules

These rules are subject to change, and members will be notified of any updates or amendments. Members must agree to and abide by the updated rules to maintain their membership.
