The Community Centre, located in the heart of Kingston, is a membership club for LGBTQI+ Jamaicans. It is the first of its kind in the world, with its operations based out of a modern, multipurpose building and grounds, that facilitate the provision of direct services to LGBTQI+ people in the country. The space also allows for the execution of development programmes designed to aid, uplift, and otherwise positively impact the community; it also plays home to several affiliate organizations, and inclusive events.
Our Mission
To create a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for LGBTQI+ individuals in Jamaica by promoting resilience, self-reliance, and social enterprise. We aim to provide comprehensive support services, affirming healthcare, advocacy resources, and community-building opportunities. Our Community Centre is committed to promoting joy, equity, and well-being of all LGBTQI+ Jamaicans, striving to dismantle stigma and discrimination, and to build a more inclusive society for everyone.
